I dont normally share my ideas and plans for shoots, but I'm feeling particularly open about these. I'll know if anyone's copied me.
#1 - Lady in the Water
Shooting this at a local lake. This location is insane for ridiculously awesome places to shoot, it's got EVERYTHING you could ask for. The model is a good and old friend of mine whom I have shot before. She'll be outfitted in shades of blue and grey (I have two distinct outfits for her) and I'll be shooting her in the water. She'll have super long hair, streaked with green. There'll be trees and eerie light. It'll be beautiful, magical and intriguing.
#2 - Mad Max Styles
This is being shot at an undisclosed location. I'll be using 3 models, two guys and a girl. I'm excited as I haven't shot too many men, so this will be interesting. Will also be using what we call "The Doombuggy" which is an old dune buggy we did up all cammo-style, it's insane. We'll also be shooting with real weapons as props (hence a bit of secrecy, dont need to be busted by the cops toting guns and shit around). Of course they wont be loaded, and the licensee will be there, but still, not wanting to take the risk. The feel of the shoot is Mad Max style, a slight post-apocalyptic feel to it. Going to be getting creative with the wardrobe in this one, and the female model will also be sporting some insanely awesome hair, which we are custom doing. The shots may also feature fire and/or pyrotechnics.
#3 - Secret Special Effects
Extremely excited about this one, not only is it something I have ALWAYS wanted to shoot, but I also get to do it with one of my FAAAAVE models, Miss Lady Lace. Now, Miss Lace is predominantly a burlesque performer and model, so I am way looking forward to taking her out of her comfort zone just a smidge to do a very gory in-your-face shoot. I'm looking to explore a side of gore that I dont see too often, and I think Miss Lace's devastatingly doll-like features and natural beauty will definitely help with this. I will be doing the special effects work myself (with the help of a few assitants) and am very excited to see how it turns out, as like I said, I've been wanting to do this particular thing pretty much ever since I started getting in to photography. I'll keep the actual subject matter under wraps for now, but hope you'rll all look forward to seeing it!
Apart from these, not doing any more work until January, except for one or two portraits I've got in the pipes. Going to be taking submissions of interest for a 2013 Calendar in Jan 2012, might even have a competition to pick the final 12 girls if there's enough interest in that.
